Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G Details
Design
The Galaxy Note 10 5G features a sleek design with the thickness under 8 mm. It has a metal frame sandwiched between glass panels. Both the front and back of the device are protected against the scratches by Corning's Gorilla Glass. For superior ergonomics, the handset is slightly curved at the edges. The back panel is reflective and creates an impressive effect when it catches the light. The Galaxy Note 10 5G has impressively thin bezels delivering the screen-to-body ratio of over 90 percent.
S-Pen
The signature feature of the Galaxy Note series, the S-Pen stylus has received a significant updated. Last year, the Korean company added Bluetooth connectivity to its stylus. This time around, it is going a step further by adding an accelerometer to enable gesture controls. For instance, you can control music and video playback or switch camera modes directly from the S-Pen. Plus, the Galaxy Note 10 5G lets you turn what you jotted down into digital text usable in Word and other apps.
Display
The handset sports a 6.3-inch top-notch AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 2280 x 1080, which translates to the pixel density of around 400 ppi. The screen has a tiny punch-hole to accommodate the selfie camera. For the sake of symmetry, Samsung has placed it in the middle of the top portion. Since it is an AMOLED type display, you get excellent contrast and vibrant colors. This particular screen is HDR10+ certified, which further enhances contrast and brightness. Moreover, the panel provides uniform brightness, which cannot be achieved on LCD technology. The Galaxy Note 10 5G's display is certified by UL organization for limiting blue light that affects your eyes.
Performance
In the US and China, the Galaxy Note 10 5G will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 chipset. This 7 nm chip comprises of Kryo 485 core clocked at 2.8 GHz, three Kryo 485 cores running at 2.4 GHz, and four power-efficient 1.8 GHz Kryo 485 cores. For gaming, there's an Adreno 640 GPU. In other markets including Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, the Galaxy Note 10 5G is backed by Samsung's in-house Exynos 9825 SoC (System on Chip). This one features two Mongoose M4 cores clocked at 2.73 GHz, two Cortex-A75 cores running at 2.4 GHz, and four power-efficient 1.9 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. To handle the latest games, the Exynos chip relies on Mali-G76 MP12 GPU. Samsung claims that the phone uses a custom-built vapor chamber cooling system to ensure sustained performance during gaming. The phone comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. It lacks a microSD card slot. On the software front, you get Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung's OneUI on top.
Cameras
The Galaxy Note 10 5G comes with the triple camera setup. The assembly features a 12 MP main lens accompanied by a 16 MP wide sensor, and a 12 MP telephoto lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). The phone can record 4K video at frames per second. The camera offers features such as the Night Mode, 3D scanner, and AR Doodle. The 3D scanner feature lets you turn any object in a 3D rendering while the AR Doodle lets you draw over live videos. For selfies, the device is loaded with a 10 MP front-facing snapper.
Battery And Connectivity
The slim phone packs in a 3,500 mAh battery with Samsung fast-charging technology. The phone uses a USB Type-C port for charging. It doubles up as an audio out port as the Galaxy Note 10 5G lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. As its name suggests, the phone is compatible with 5G. Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, and NFC.
