WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for beta
users on Android. The latest update bumps the app to v2.19.160 and brings the
ability to hide muted status updates.
Up until now, WhatsApp
allowed users to mute the status updates but they still appeared on the status
page. With the new update, the muted statuses will be collapsed by default,
completely hiding the status updates. The users can still see the muted status
updates but they will have to expand the muted status bar to check those out.
The update will roll out to the public
users soon. At this moment, WhatsApp is just testing the feature on its beta
app on Android.
