As a part of the new software update, the Galaxy S10₹ 58,599 series is getting new camera features such as Live Focus video, Night mode for the front camera, AR Doodle and Super Steady video recording in Hyperlapse mode. The software update also brings a new focus effect Glitz from the Galaxy Note 10 series to the Galaxy S10s. The newly added live focus video feature is available for the front and rear cameras.

This is OnePlus 7T, official photos revealed by OnePlus CEO

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shares images of OnePlus 7T in gradient blue shade on the OnePlus forum. The OnePlus 7T will have a smooth matte finish and a feature the circular design or the camera bump.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has shared images of the OnePlus 7T.
  • The OnePlus 7T will have the circular camera design to house the triple rear camera system.
  • The OnePlus 7T will also have a matte colour finish with a metallic sheen.\

In the past few weeks, OnePlus has been sharing details about the OnePlus TV on a weekly basis. And before the launch, we have a fair idea as to what we can expect from the first OnePlus smart TV. However, OnePlus announced yesterday that it is also going to launch the OnePlus 7T series phones and India will get to see it along with the global markets on September 26. So far, OnePlus said that it will bring the 90Hz screen from the OnePlus 7 Pro to the OnePlus 7T. Now, we have more official data.

Yes, the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau took to the OnePlus community to share the images of the upcoming OnePlus 7T flagship. And as we have seen in previously leaked renders, the OnePlus 7T is indeed going to have the huge circular camera bump design with a triple camera system. Now, Pete Lau hasn't mentioned the name of the device in this post as he only refers to this phone as the 'upcoming flagship'.

The official images show the OnePlus 7T in a gradient shade of blue that reminds us of the Nebula Blue OnePlus 7 Pro we saw earlier this year. Similar to the leaked shots, OnePlus is going for the big circular camera bump design for housing the triple camera system.

But why did OnePlus choose the circular camera module design?

According to Pete Lau, OnePlus wanted a perfect symmetrical design. "With perfect symmetry from any orientation, a circular design became the natural choice. A circle's rounded edges produce an appealing contrast against the straight lines of a smartphone's rectangular form for a seamless, balanced feel. After going through over fifty design
iterations, we think we've landed on something pretty special."

The design schematics also hint at the display retaining the waterdrop notch on the top similar to the OnePlus 7. However, the bezels seem to be thinner than what we saw on the OnePlus 7.

And as for the colour gradient, OnePlus has been pulling off stunning gradient designs since the OnePlus 6. With this year's OnePlus 7 pro, we saw the matte finish design with a metallic sheen on the Nebula variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus is now bringing the same to the OnePlus 7T. The 7T will have the matte finish colour gradients from the OnePlus 7 Pro and we know that we will get to see a blue variant similar to stunning Nebula Blue colour.

iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Battery Size and RAM Revealed

If you’re an addict for smartphone facts and figures, you were likely annoyed by Apple’s avoidance of some specific iPhone 11 battery and RAM specs.

Knowing the cell in the iPhone 11 Pro lasts 4 hours longer than the iPhone XS is all very well, but it’s not the same as being able to make a direct comparison between phones of different brands. Happily for us, government regulators have ways of finding these things out.

While specific numbers for the battery capacity and RAM have been rumored before now, Chinese regulator TENAA has posted the full tech specs of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on its website (via 9to5Mac).

From these listings, we can see that the three versions of the iPhone 11 have 3,046mAh, 3,110mAh and 3,969mAh respectively. That makes for a 168mAh, 408mAh and 695mAh increase respectively over the equivalent iPhone XR and iPhone XS/XS Max models from last year, which range from a minor boost in the iPhone 11’s case, to a substantial raise for the 11 Pro Max.

WhatsApp Now Hides Muted Status Updates on Android Beta v2.19.260

WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for beta users on Android. The latest update bumps the app to v2.19.160 and brings the ability to hide muted status updates.
Up until now, WhatsApp allowed users to mute the status updates but they still appeared on the status page. With the new update, the muted statuses will be collapsed by default, completely hiding the status updates. The users can still see the muted status updates but they will have to expand the muted status bar to check those out.

The update will roll out to the public users soon. At this moment, WhatsApp is just testing the feature on its beta app on Android.

AC Helmet
Bengaluru techie develops AC helmet for riders’ comfort

Sunita Rao R, Bangalore

Helmet keeps us safe while driving a two-wheeler , but sometimes the confusion of wearing it bothers people. The heat after wearing a helmet is a major problem. However, a mechanical engineer from Bangalore has solved your problem. This engineer has made a special AC helmet, which will keep your head cool while driving a two-wheeler.

Engineer Sandeep Dahiya, director of a multinational company, is fond of making user friendly products. In the process of preparing an AC helmet, his home garage turned into a workshop. Sandeep designed 8 different models in four and a half years. After this, the perfect AC helmet was made. They named it air-conditioned. This AC helmet works on DC power (12 volts) supplied from the bike's battery. The cooling effect does not require any other external energy.

How the AC Helmet

This helmet, named AC , weighs about 1.7 kg. At the same time, the weight of most helmets found in the market is in the range of 800 grams to 2 kg. The AC helmet has two parts. These include one part rubber tubes, which act as air circulation inside the helmet. The second part is worn like a backpack. The wear unit consists of a reverse thermo couple, heat exchanger, control and blower.

The heat exchanger takes care of correct air-cooling. There is no need of ice or water for this. The heat exchanger (used in spaceships) has a semiconductor, which helps more or less the temperature. There is no power supply in the helmet, but it has air circulators in the form of rubber tubes. It is connected to a working AC control device such as a remote.

 Vivo U10

Vivo U10 Online-Exclusive Smartphone Will Launch in India on September 24

A few days ago, Vivo began teasing the arrival of a new line of smartphones under the U series, which will be an online-exclusive lineup. The Vivo U10 will be the first to launch and now, we know that the series will launch in India on September 24. The company has started sending out ‘save the date' invites to the media, so we now know when it will actually arrive. We still don't have any details about the exact features or specifications of the phone, but there's still more than a week left so, we could get more hints about the phone soon.

The Vivo U10 will be an online exclusive phone, and by that we mean it will be available exclusively through Amazon India and Vivo's own online store. Both platforms have begun teasing the arrival of the phone, with a render of the front of the device. From the images, the U10 will have a dewdrop notch in the display and from the looks of it, a pretty far chin at the bottom. Vivo is advertising 18W fast charging support, which it says can deliver about 4.5 hours of talk-time with a 10 minute charge.

The teasers also hint at the phone having a large battery and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. These are all the details we have so far. The Vivo U10, and possibly subsequent U series phones, will be the second series from Vivo that's exclusive to online stores, the first being the Z series. Apart from these two lineups, Vivo also offers smartphones under the S series, V series, X series, Y series, and Nex series.

“[Vivo U10] focuses on powerful performance and long-lasting battery besides providing best-in-class [processor],” the company said in an earlier statement.

The Vivo U series seem to be targeted at the Internet-savvy crowd and millennials, who typically consume a lot of content on their phones. We'll just have to wait a bit until Vivo release more information in the days leading up to the launch.

Redmi 8ARedmi 8A Tipped to Feature 5,000mAh Battery, 12-Megapixel Camera, Up to 4GB of RAM

Redmi A series is the most affordable series of smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi. We have already seen smartphones like the Redmi 6A and the Redmi 7A to be aggressively priced around the Rs. 5,000 mark. Now, fresh leaks of an upcoming device hint that Xiaomi is working on the successor to its Redmi 7A smartphone, expected to be called the Redmi 8A. A Redmi smartphone bearing the M1908C3KE model number has popped up on TENAA and is believed to be the Redmi 8A.

The smartphone surfaced on Chinese regulator TENAA's website revealing its design and key specifications. From the listing, it is evident that the device has a waterdrop notch at the top of the display, a single rear camera and Redmi branding at the front and the back. It is also interesting to see that the device lacks a fingerprint scanner that has been the case with other Redmi A-series devices as well.

The listing also carries the specifications such as the 6.2-inch HD+ display, and an octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The TENAA listing suggests that the phone will have three variants with 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM. These RAM variants are said to be paired with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of onboard storage respectively. The storage is expandable on this device, up to 512GB.

This smartphone is said to run Android 9 Pie and will most likely have Xiaomi's custom MIUI skin on top. The device believed to be the Redmi 8A sports a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

Interestingly, the device packs in a 5,000mAh battery that coupled with the other specifications should help the device offer good battery life. The design and the specifications do convince us that it could be the upcoming Redmi 8A. But we'll have to wait for the phone's official launch to get a confirmation.
